I did a little filling in around the base. I think this improves the dead spots created by too much dark at the base. Thanks! |

Thanks Joe. Yes, the original color image was more balanced across the entire fungus. The issue with it is that there is kind of an empty spot in it, so I used the stamp tool to fill it. I'll look at lightening the base some more. |

Thanks Deb. Here's an alternative edit. I think I like it more. |

This is an interesting image. I like the symmetry of the circle of flowers and the space needle. The sky and the space needle give it a monochromatic feel. Did you try desaturating the flowers? That would add another level of symmetry to the image. |

This is a beautiful image that tells a great story. The sharpness of the muscle tone on mom's back leg is great. The front cub's eyes are also amazing. Could you sharpen mom's face a little? Also, what if you darkened the background some more to create more contrast? |

You have done a great job capturing the range from dark to light. The subject is also really interesting and other-worldly. One suggestion would be to see if you can get some texture out of the globes (maybe the whites are blown out and there is nothing to retrieve?). They look flat right now. Also, I'm wondering if you can vary the intensity of the globes since they are not all the same distance from the viewer? |

I love the colors you have captured. The different pinks and blues are compelling. This image captures the immensity of the park. I'd suggest editing the branch sticking out the second plant on the left from the image. Its focus feels a little soft and it is somewhat distracting from the overall effect of size. Alternatively, you could crop a lot of the image to focus on the second plant, but that would tell a completely different story. I'm curious why you were shooting such a high shutter speed and ISO? |

That's a beautiful, soulful image. I like the close cropping to focus on the bear's face. The eyes are great. I also like dark outline on the right side of the bear. I'm wondering if you can coax any more contrast out of the dark end of the spectrum? Maybe darker fur around the eyes? |
