Dear Dick,
Thank you for your valuable feedback. I completely agree with you-what I suggested to Helen didn't quite align with the approach I used in my own videos. As a food photographer venturing into videography, I'm eager to learn and grow with the support of this group.
I truly believe that with the insights, feedback, and inspiring work of each participant here, I'll gain the skills and understanding needed to elevate my videography in 2025. I also realize I could have provided a clearer subject or description to make my video more coherent and impactful.
I'll definitely aim to create better and more refined work in the upcoming year. Thank you once again for your constructive comments! |

Hi Helen,
This was such a fantastic video-so soothing and visually stunning! The location and overall vibe were absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed watching it.
I have two quick suggestions:
1. When the text appeared, I think it might have looked even better if the font size was slightly smaller and the color matched the tone of the video more closely. It could have added a nice, cohesive touch.
2. The video felt like a perfectly crafted B-roll, almost like the stage was set, but the "actor" hadn't arrived yet. Adding a subject in some shots could make it feel even more dynamic and complete.
Of course, these are just my thoughts as someone who's still pretty new to this. I'm really looking forward to learning more from you and everyone else here!

Hi Dick, it was such a pleasure to see your work-it truly stood out! I couldn't help but notice the delightful sound of birds chirping in the background. However, the shadows suggested the sun was high, casting strong, hard shadows, which gave me the impression of midday rather than early morning when bird songs are usually more prominent. Of course, I could be mistaken-just an observation! Additionally, I felt the gimbal movements were a bit quick, and slowing them down slightly might make the video even smoother and more enjoyable. Just some gentle thoughts on an otherwise lovely piece! |

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this story & new place through your lens-it was beautifully captured! I feel that with a slight adjustment to the brightness, the video could have been even more visually striking. Perhaps utilizing the iPhone's brightness control feature might enhance the sky and overall exposure, making it more balanced and eye-pleasing. That said, I'm new to this study group, so my understanding may be limited. Nonetheless, it was an excellent story, and I truly appreciated it! |
