Chris - thank you . I like the way the focus now shifts to the action and makes one anticipate where the ball is going and what happens next.
Cheers

Adrian - Mark - thank you for your suggestions . I also implemented some suggestions for a tighter crop which does provide more focus on the players. One of the things that I noticed at the time was that the game was being played in the street in front of the church ( due to the lack of green spaces in Naples and to the fact that soccer fans play soccer whenever and wherever they can ) and I wanted to retain that context.

Chris - excellent close up and composition. I agree with you that maybe a radial gradient to lighten the background behind the drop could look more natural and draw the eye to the drop.

Adrian - certainly an intriguing image that invites the viewer to try to interpret what is going on. I like the square crop as the negative space created on top adds to the mystery but I suggest to remove some potential distractions such as the palm and wires.

Mark - the sunrise image is outstanding . It captures the colors and the atmosphere/drama that are experienced at that time of the day. Turning it into a B&W image is therefore quite a challenge - but I think you accomplished that with your conversion as the drama does come through.

Emil - thank you for sharing an IR image. I used to do quite a bit of IR a long time ago ( using film ) as the results were always unique and creative. I looked at the original image and it appears that there is some haze/fog which is filtering the sun . That coupled with how the IR lightens the leaves creates a soft dreamy image. I think your first version comes very close to capturing the feeling and it retains the purpose of using IR .

Kamal - Fantastic bird's eye view of a beautiful and historic site which you have made us acquainted with. The original image provides more context about the size and location of the archeological site which I find significant - I edited the original image to show more of the surrounding forested area.
Thank you

Pete - congratulations on a great image. I feel that the composition is the element that really makes this shot stand out in both the color and B&W versions. The conversion to B&W does evoke a classical, old master feeling which really compliments the subject matter.
Cheers
