Thank you Pete for providing an alternate treatment to the image trying to mimic how an actual photograph taken in 1867 would appear today having survived almost 160 years. In a way it is amazing the photography has been around that long and more.

Emil - having tried to photograph bees I know the challenge of being able to capture them as they don't stay still and the wind keeps moving the flowers. Great image and treatment.
By the way I am making the leap to DXO Photolab ( part of the same reason you use Pure Raw and also because I have a Fujifilm XT5 as my main camera )) and moving slowly away from LR/PS. I am concerned with the learning curve though.
Cheers

Adrian - a fantastic image that displays your vision and patience to position yourself and your camera to capture the amazing symmetry and geometric shapes of the tower.
I would love to see the image enlarged to ( say 2 meters high ) to be able to fully appreciate the contribution of the raven. By the way is " bringing the nut home " a play of words on " bringing home the bacon ".
Cheers

Mark - I share your thoughts that one feels overwhelmed by the sheer scale and the architecture and engineering of these cathedrals.
I believe the main character here is the man - while being small in scale he still looms large since it was men that built it. I cropped the image to emphasize the man and also point out that he and even the large pulpit are small in relation to the overall edifice.

Hi Emil - Fantastic Image. Makes me realize what I missed when we had to cancel our trip to several National Parks in the area in April 2020 because of Covid.
The B&W treatment brings out details in the sand , sky and shrubs not really seen in the original. And the composition does emphasize the prominence of the Totem pole.
I did a slight crop at the bottom to take away a bit of the attention from the shrub .
Cheers

Syed - congratulations on a great image. Were you the pilot to be able to have such an unencumbered view ?
I like Pete's treatment of the image as it adds an extra dimension to the image.

Pete - you captured and documented extremely well a too common and sad occurrence. Definitely the contrast between the circumstances of the man and the passerby comes through.
I did a slight crop to put even more focus on the main subjects.
Cheers
