Chris - I have tried the Find Distraction tool and it does do a good job and some final edits can be made with other removal tools. Certainly a big convenience but in general I avoid any tools that rely on Generative AI ( I never know - I may enter an image in a competition! )
I have never tried stacking several images as I generally find I do not like to take a tripod along.

Chris - your editing and processing evokes and conveys the feeling of nostalgia that you felt when you came across this old structure. Very well done.

Adrian - as usual your images always make a statement - and invite the viewer to make an interpretation of what is presented. I love the image and the concept.
The original image reminds me of one's youth - when you went out with friends and had so much fun that you lingered even after the bars closed. You see that in the image - the chairs are empty, the trash is out and a few happy people are still milling about. I cropped the original to show the smiling faces, the trash etc I emphasised also the long shadow as it adds an important element to the atmosphere.

Mark - Impressive concept. I followed up on your idea to showcase the Freedom Tower and I attempted a crop to eliminate the lower part of the structure and just show the ribs of the skylight and the tower showing through. The resulting composition is more abstract and may not be your original intent. ( I used Pete's image as the basis for my edit ).

Emil - I am curious - when you staged the original image did you compose it thinking that the final image would be in color? I ask because of the use of complimentary colors ( yellow candle, blue tablecloth) give the original image a very artistic look. The B&W treatment also works extremely well and I agree that a different crop does help the composition.

Pete - I appreciate the challenge you gave yourself to turn an image with limited detail and soft focus into an interesting composition that draws the viewer in. Definitely improved with the B&W treatment. I like Emil's suggestion to use leading lines to give even more focus to spot where the fronds join. |

Pete - I used the remove tool for individual people. I will try though to use the new remove distraction tool - frankly it is becoming a challenge to keep up with Adobe and their push of AI. |
