Chris,Pete, Emil - it is unanimous that the skipping stone should be more visible and located lower down from the horizon line. Thank you all for the recommendation. |

Adrian - thank you for your suggestions. As far as the stone at the horizon - I feel it would be more visible and impactful if it was much lower in the picture ( so that it would be clearer what the subject is doing - skipping stones ). I followed your suggestion to emphasize the sky more. As far as cropping - I cropped it a bit on the left but left the original margin on the right as I think more negative space there emphasizes the skipping motion. |

Chris - well done with the technique of focus stacking especially with an outdoor subject such as a delicate milk weed pod that is easily disturbed by the wind.
Just for the fun of it I cropped the image slightly and flipped it vertically. I know it changes your original intent but I just wanted to experiment.

Adrian - Amazing picture both in terms of theme and processing. To me perhaps the most important aspect of photography is the unique ability to capture a moment in time. The waves will never form the same pattern again, the seagull will appear differently, the spectator will have moved on - but your image will persist. |

Mark - I admire your photo. I don't do macro but I am always fascinated by macro images and the amount of work that goes into them to get a good depth of field.
I agree that if the image resolution allows it then crop closer to the subject. |

Emil - perfect. Captures the essence of classical libraries with their wonderful architecture and ambience.
I am curious about the tools you used to remove the desk and chairs - the light stand on the right is reflected on the floor - did you plan to have the reflection?
Can I suggest a 1 mm crop on the right?

Pete - Great picture showing the concentration that the juggler demonstrates to keep the clubs from falling. On close up you can see this on his face.
As an exercise I also suggest a tighter crop as the story is the concentration - close to where Adrian suggests but using a portrait 8X10 crop. I added a bit more contrast. |
