Marie, I love the painterly and soft effect you have given to the bird. As usual, composition and exposure is perfect. You know I like to play so how about trying to replace the lavender just below the bird because it draws my eye and add a little detail to your soft look with Topaz detail - overall detail strong I - 63% opacity. Great work. Just another thought... |

Good image of a young girl with her little brother... You did a good job of removing the man and darkening the people on the other side of the street. You will improve on those steps with practice. I suggest that you lightening the girl's face and one arm slightly. Good job. |

Topaz impressions image is very good... Your crop is very good and the painterly effect is good for this scenic. I liked your other image too. If you like the creative look, always browse through the creative DD groups. I could spend a few hours just playing with images. I am glad you enjoy your photography. Good job. |

Excellent image... As usual, your image is well posed, your changes are spot on, and composition is great. Even her white dress doesn't draw more attention that her face. Great job. |

Nice facial closeup... If you purpose was for recording the rally and the speakers, you could combine this image with crowd images and images of the signs at the event for a composite. I do suggest using Topaz - detail - overall strong I preset to increase contrast and the beard grunge on his face but do whiten eyes and add a catchlight to help the portrait. Good image. |

Nice image... Hope you took some pics of the building and can combine detail and plants for a composite image of the area. The image has good blacks and whites. Good job. |

Good image of old building... Would like to see your original. Good use of Viveza and the sepia tone. This is a good image with lines holding you in the image. To create a good center of interest, find a big flower pot or cat or other subject to put in a good place in the image (close to 1/3 spot in the image). Use a mask to add back the metal part of the balcony to make the cat appear to be in the balcony behind the railing. For competition, the cat or new subject needs to be taken by you. This addition would improve the image and provide an interesting center of attention. Good job. |

Very interesting subject... With tractors, I have found that making the tall cab be on the right helps hold you in the image. So, I suggest flipping it, darkening the building, foreground and corners and lightening the tractor and flower area. After my corrections, with subjects like this, cropping in can provide a more subject enhanced image. When I find subjects like this I take wide angle and lots of cropped-in closeups of the interesting areas of the abandoned machinery. Just to give you some ideas. Great eye to see the image. Color faded image of these subjects are good competition images too. |

Very good model portrait and I really like her expression... The left side is too light and drawing the eye away from her so burn that side and the corners. Also, dodge her dress, hair, and top of hat to lighten them. Yes, this is a good image for Salons and competitions. Good job. |

Very good impact... Good job of putting your images together for you composite. You might try to return the blade of the knife back to normal but allow the color to cross over it. Just a suggestion. Good job. |

Great idea !! I have a few spider and spider web pics but don't compete in nature and didn't know what to do with them but I KNOW NOW !! The simplify really helps the spider and it's web. I was never one to get everything right in the camera. I always improved the image in the darkroom and now in the computer. Great job. |

Darrell, you have a great image... Your composition and exposure and work are really good on this image. I do suggest that you select the left part of the structure on the left and either darken or increase the contrast. Your placement of the tower is perfect. Great job. |

Very good pose with a beautiful model. I suggest changing the color of right luggage and lightening the very top of her hair so the dark s can be visible. Good posing, lighting and good prop usage. To make her not be more on the left of the image, I suggest cropping so it is more of a square and elminating some the right luggage. Good job. |

Very good portrait of mother and baby... The mono helped with the redness of the baby. Very good corner conversion. Do you ever do composites of this portrait and then one of the baby by itself sleeps in the top right corner - just a thought. Great job. |
