Good use of this image... I like your creation and techniques used. Maybe create a background of cell phone pics to give her character more interest. If you fix the arm and burn the left side and corners to darken, the eye will be drawn more to the face and hand holding the cell phone. Good creative image.

Nice sunset with good foreground except for the grass stems. Next time, pull or stamp them down before you take the picture. I used Heal patch and stamp to remove the grass stems above the bridge. Also, to add more impact, I used Topaz Adjust 5 - vibrance to add more color and saturation to you image. Good sunset.

Very good night photography and reflection... Suggest crop some of the sky and the left side. Beautiful reflection of all the lights. Great image.

Good frog pic... Jon and his explanation is superb as usual. Removing the peach-orange area greatly improves your image so I agree with everything he suggested. Good focus. Very good frog.

Good pic of the monkey... Why not convert to mono and work with that. Would lighten the white areas of the monkey and then use Topaz - detail - overall detail strong II to really bring out the white and face area of the monkey. Adding more impact to him, makes the background lessen in it's distraction. Very good monkey.

Good pic of the canoes. I wouldn't take the shadow area away from the canoes. Changing to mono was good, but you need a better center of interest than the name on the bottom canoe. I would crop the bottom. Maybe use this for a montage is a canoer. Nice pic.

Yes, it darkened the sky. I did one curves layer of medium contrast and thought it needed more so I duplicated the layer. |

Different approach with slow shutter speed... Like panning a bicycle racer... Having the one face is very important but not having the other face doesn't hurt. The arm and hand motion blur is good - why not a title of " Right Hand in Motion " which will draw more attention to your blur. Does your club read the titles - our club reads all titles including PJ so your title can help sell the image. Great boxing image...

Good grab shot - just needs some improvements... When you see someone doing something different, try to get a pics of active person with the napper so there is a contrast. But with only him, try to give his traits more emphasis. Like his white beard. Suggest straightening the window frame and him, clean up the marks on the window frame that are a distraction. Then lighten his face and use Topaz - detail - overall detail strong I to make his facial features, hair, and beard stand out more. Just suggestions...

Good duck image... Are you enjoying your lens ? My hubby, Tom, got the Tamron 150-600 but hasn't used it on too much yet. We are due to take pics of the Youth HS rodeo in July so maybe he will use it then. Of course, I tried the Topaz Detail - Overall Detail Strong II - see what you think ? |

Very good child portrait with saleslady... I suggest continuing and darken your background which will emphasize the lady and child. Also lighten the lady's nose and forehead as well as the child's facial area a little more - slightly darken the lady's cheek. Did you get a shot of the child interacting with the toys ? Good work to convert to mono.
Good image. |

Marvelous sky and beautiful tower... I suggest adding two layers of "medium contrast" but mask out the right side of the building on both. Beautiful monochrome image.

I only took a little over 700 pics and many I need to throw away. The fast focus with this camera is unbelievable !! Yes, they have to dump the bull off his feet which isn't always done. They can't use gloves. They are timed. Yes, the team roping is with a calf because they move faster. All this was for a charity. |

Very colorful extrude image... I have only used extrude a few times but I think that if you leave part of your image normal that makes the extrude in the image be more real. So I brough back the windows and door to normal to see if that could help your creative image - what do you think ? Especially if you use extrude on a person, it is always best to bring the face back to normal. I used it on a color indian woman's colorful beaded garmet which was very successful in salons but I make sure her face and hair was normal. Just suggestions... Good image.

Great montage of runners... I wouldn't have thought to blend using the cloud image. Great job with different facial expressions and their placement. How many years did you run in this event -- it must be very difficult to prepare and run this distance. Great job.

Great action shot... As usual your work is great in the saturation, glow and composition. I don't know that I would have used all three horses in this image. Both the front horse and the two trailing horses are great images if they are two seperate images. The horses flying dirt is great. Topaz Adjust worked great on this image. Great job.

Very bright final image... Using neon edges is a challenge to end with something that resembles something familiar instead of just colorful lines. Sometimes the title will help identify the subject but removing some parts of the neon creation will help also. I suggest you use a blank layer and paint black on it to blacken area and white or another color to add some details that maybe would help your subject. I blackened some areas around your flower and around the stamens and pistols of the flower but you might have other ideas. This is a suggestion to improve your neon creation. Good job using distort and other tools to finalize your result. Great creation and job...

Good rodeo image... Nice idea to replace the background, but the bricks aren't a normal background you would see around a rodeo, so maybe just try for a field and sky. Otherwise, the action is good. In PJ Salon competition, you can't replace things like backgrounds - just dodge and burn. In Pictorial Salon competition, you can do anything but most of our creative images do better in a special creative competition. In PJ and Nature, you can't remove or add things that were not there when you took the pic. Also, you can't blur things in a PJ or Nature image. Thought I should mention this to new PSA members.
Just select the background, cropping out as many distractions possible, and darken. Also you can slightly saturate the image. This is a small image that I worked on... |

Very good combination of images... Putting autumn colors into the wood grain is a nice idea but I suggest taking the time to burn the right side and the bottom to draw more attention to the leaves and light area of wood. Also use the stamp tool to remove the light vertical on the right. You did a very good job of selecting the branch and leaves. Good image.

Great eye to find the cat eyeing the mouse... Good job of blurring the background. Suggest you crop a little off the left and use Topaz - detail - overall medium II to sharpen the cat's whiskers and other features. Good job.

I have one very similar to this one from my Peggy Cove images. Good composition, good mono conversion. I do suggest that you add blacker blacks by doing a "medium contrast" change in a Curves layer. Good job.

Lovely model, very good composition, nicely lit... As usual, you have a very nice pose and good lighting. I will have to remember this pose. I love the earring !! Monochrome is much better than the color image. I like your crop. Great image.
