9 Nov 25 Reply Thanks, Jim. I think I have gotten some good feedback on this photo from the group and I will go back to it to make some of the suggested adjustments. I appreciate the feedback. Nov 18th
9 Nov 25 Reply Thank you, Douglas. I see what you mean about the larger branches in the photo. Not sure what I can do, but I will give it some thought. Thanks. Nov 18th
9 Nov 25 Reply Thank you, Yvonne. I think your idea to brighten the trail is a good idea. It helps it stand out a bit more.

Lithia Park does offer a lot of things, including a nice Japanese garden. Unfortunately, I don't live all that close to it. It is a drive of several hours to get there and I am usually passing through the area on other trips. It was nice to be able to spend some time there this trip.

9 Nov 25 Comment Yvonne, I like the way the light is coming through the lace of the curtains and hitting the bed. I also think this works better in black and white. I might lean toward Linda's crop, especially if you don't like the sewing machine in the image. I think it adds a little more context to the photo. Of course, that is just my opinion. Either way, it is a nice photo and I would imagine you were able to get many in that house. I did look it up on the internet and it looks like an interesting building. Nov 18th
9 Nov 25 Comment Jim, this looks like a very peaceful scene. I like your editing to lighten the trees and mist. I think I agree with Sabine with regard to the branch being a bit lighter with more detail, but I understand that is not always possible to bring that out. Either way, it give me a peaceful feeling when I look at this. Nov 18th
9 Nov 25 Comment Sylvia, I like this photo. It is a simple image and one that shows kindness toward dogs. I like how you have placed the dog bowl and the water fountain at a diagonal in the image. The shadows of the tree and gate/fence add texture to the photo. Nicely done.

I am not really familiar with the term urban still life, but I find myself taking photos with this theme from time to time. Didn't know it had a name... :)

9 Nov 25 Comment What a great shot. I like the vibrant colors and the geometric patterns of the elements within the image. I like the way you put these elements within the frame, makes for a very pleasing photo. Looks like very beautiful country. Well done! Nov 17th
9 Nov 25 Comment Douglas, what an unusual place to read a book. I think you have captured her well and she seems quite relaxed. Good call to come back to her for a more natural pose. I like your conversion to black and white, it fits the scene. Nice photo! Nov 17th
9 Nov 25 Reply Thank you, Sabine. I appreciate your feedback and suggested edits. I don't expect anyone to be able to help with darktable, just edits in general. Perhaps, I am too hard om myself with my edits sometimes. Nov 15th
9 Nov 25 Reply Thank you for your comments, Sylvia. Nov 15th
9 Nov 25 Comment Sabine, what a great capture! There is something to be said of being in the right place at the right time. And, on top of that, you had the skills to capture this image beautifully. I really like the way the light is hitting the boats in the foreground contrasting against the dark clouds in the background. The double rainbow really adds a lot to the image. Well done! Nov 15th
