Thanks, Sabine. I like what you have done, very creative. Though I have Photoshop-like software, I have never played around with many of the tools that it provides. You and Yvonne have given me reason to explore some of those tools and see what I can do. |

Thanks, Yvonne. Initially, looking at your changes, I thought it was simply a rotation of the image. Then, looking at it more, I realized it was more than that. I think it is interesting what you have done, kind of an abstract. I've never used Photoshop and never the free transform tool. I may have to see if my software has a similar tool. |

Thanks, Douglas. You know that missing brick, I remember seeing it initially, but over time have not been seeing it at all. It's funny what one sees, or doesn't, sometimes. I will see if I can go back and repair that spot. |

Jim, this is a great capture of a mushroom. Looking at the suggestions by Douglas and Sabine for different crops, I personally still come back to your original crop as being the one I prefer. While I like their suggestions, their crops provide a little more of the surroundings around the mushroom, but I think your crop isolates the mushroom and is a good composition by itself. I don't think the surrounding area is necessary for this image. Just my thoughts on this.
My suggestions for this image would be to brighten the mushroom cap just a little bit and darken the background a little bit. I think these changes can be subtle and would make the mushroom stand out a little better. |

This is a great capture of a butterfly. I like the vibrant colors of the butterfly and the flower it is on. I think Jim's suggestion for a crop provides more focus on the butterfly. |

Linda, what a good eye you have to see this. I like the vibrant colors in this one. That door sure looks like it has seen some weather over the years. The orange bow adds some interest to the photo. Without seeing anything beyond the door and shutters in this image, the viewer cannot be certain why it was placed there. As Sabine said, who hung it there and why? |

Douglas, what a great capture. You saw something most people wouldn't even notice. I also find it curious that the stickers do not overlap. It seems that people who place stickers like these would want theirs to be the more prominent. I like the conversion to black and white as it places more emphasis on the placement of the stickers without the distracting colors. |

Yvonne, what a nice scene. You made the right decision trying to capture it. What you have done with the image, softening the trees in the background and the edges gives it almost a watercolor feel to it. Nice shot. |

Sabine, with your description and including the other photos, it tells a story. It is amazing how well a shepherd and a handful of dogs can manage such a large number of sheep. The photo itself captures a man seemingly at ease while managing his flock with the help of his dogs and shows the beautiful country. Were you able to get more shots of the dogs at work? Great photos. |
