Thank you, Yvonne. It is interesting to me that some thought the b&w version had an ominous or unwelcoming feeling. I lived not far from this location when I was younger and have always considered it to be a peaceful place for me. I appreciate the different perspectives on this, though. |

Thank you, Jim. The sky is what really caught my attention this day and was my focus with the image. I do like your idea of a crop, though. I will go back to it and consider that. |

Jim, I think you have done well with your editing. Removing the weeds to leave the one remaining, enhancing its color and darkening the background trees really highlights the foreground subject. I also think it is well framed between the background trees. I think its a good image and composition. |

Douglas, I like the colors and the location of the moon in this photo. I like the pinks in the sky and on the water. I have been getting more interested in cityscapes in recent years and bridges generally always interest me. I wonder if a 16:9 crop of this image would help. I've been playing with this aspect ratio when my images seem to have too much sky or foreground. Just an idea. |

Sylvia, you captured your intended theme, transportation, with this image. I like that you got the entire bus shelter in the image and with the two people in it, they add to the photo. I agree that brightening their faces a little bit would help the image. |

Linda, I really like this photo. The light and shadow from the window and the people walking through it make for a great composition. I agree with the others, you have a good eye for this. Nice photo! |

Yvonne, what an interesting scene to come across, I like it. The colors with the painted mural and the green fence/gate with the beer signs adjacent to the red wall just make this photo more interesting. The way the scene is set up, I also wonder who the "person" making the phone call is calling. Or, is she changing into her superhero costume? My only suggestion on the photo would be to have a little more space above "Dixie" and the "e" with garage included in the image. |

Sabine, this is a great photo of a kingfisher! The timing of the shot was quite good with the turn of its head to show its' catch. The sharpness, detail and color of the feathers is also quite good. Very good photo! |
