Thanks, Douglas. Yes, Sabine's mirroring idea is very interesting. Mirroring an image is not something I ever think about, either. But, I will be considering it in the future. |

Sabine, thank you for your comments. Your idea of mirroring the image is not something that even came to my mind, but I like your idea. It does help the image flow a little bit better. This gives me some food for thought for other photos. I will have to keep this in my "photo toolbox" as an editing option. |

Yvonne, converting this to black and white was a good choice. Looking at the original, the red tones of the leaves do not stand out as much. If you are going to try to blur out the background a little, you may also want to add a little more light to some of the red leaves that are in shadow to get them more even with brighter red tones. Just an idea, anyway. Nice photo. |

Douglas, nice portrait of the model. I like the color and texture of the image. Having never used Snapseed, I am curious as to what edits you did to the image. I can see from the original photo the crop and the sepia tone, but was there more editing done to this? |

I like the blues in this image. If you are inside a cave, I am curious where the source of light is coming from relative to your position. Are the lighter blue areas where the sun is shining through thinner portions of the ice? Nice photo. |

This photo does, indeed, look like a painting. It's got that watercolor sort of vibe to it. The soft lighting and colors used work well together. I agree with others that this could be hung on a wall. Very nice. |

Thanks, Jim. Yes, if walls could talk. I would be interested in learning the story of this building. |

Sylvia, interesting title to this photo. We all know that roses are beautiful flowers, but with the theme of wabi-sabi as you describe it, it is recognized that the beauty does not last, it is impermanent. I think you have captured that. Placing the flower in the center an interesting frame with the black background frames and highlights the flower nicely. |

Jim, I really like this shot. I like the symmetry of the grass and its reflection. It's a very surreal photo with no real sense of place, it just seems to be floating. And I like the square crop. I think you are right in keeping the color, the subtle green against the blue works with this photo. Very nice. |
