Thank you for your comments. Your comment is consistent with the group, that I need to boost the color saturation a bit more. I have a tendency to not add too much saturation for fear of overdoing it. I like what you have done and have gone back to adjust my image to see what more I can do. The revised version is in a comment below. |

Thank you for your comments. I try to keep my photos as realistic as possible and usually do not boost the color saturation too much. As that was a common comment from the group, I did add some color to the sky. The revised photo is in a comment below. |

From the suggestions of the group, I did boost the sunset colors a bit. I am usually too cautious about adding too much color where it looks unnatural. As I mentioned in my reply to Jim, I may need to recalibrate my monitor. When I went back to adjust this photo, there is much more detail in the shadow areas than in my submitted jpegs. |

Thank you for your comments. Looking back at my photo on my computer, I see more detail in the foreground than what is in this photo. It seems brighter on the computer than this jpeg. I did adjust the shadows through Lightroom. I may need to look at recalibrating my monitor, though I thought I did that a couple of months ago. |

Thank you for your comments. Often, I find that my photos do not have a clear subject. I get drawn into the scene and I try to capture the whole thing. That is something that I am trying to be more aware of as I go out shooting. I have attached the original image before any post-processing. |

Sabine, nice capture of the lightning bolt especially against the dark blue sky. Must have been awesome to be there and see that. I have never used the interval function of my camera. I think I need to explore that in the future. Nice photo. |

Yvonne, I like the contrast between the green of the leaves and the blue of the water. I think your crop is good and the placement of the white flower. I think sharper focus on the flower would make the image a little stronger. Though I do not have any scenery quite like this on my morning walks, perhaps I should bring my camera along. You never know what images can be found. |

Douglas, great timing on the capture. Got it at the right moment to capture the action. I do like your crop and the blurring of the background to provide more focus on the players. |

Hi Sylvia, very interesting photo of a bug. What kind of bug is this? They sure can look otherworldly, at times. I like the way the colors of the bug match the flower and the close up view of it. Nice photo. |

Hi Jim. I really like this image. I like the colors and the way the coastline and clouds seem to point toward the sunset. Douglas's suggestion on a crop may help provide greater emphasis on the sky and sunset. It looks like a beautiful location and the photo makes me want to be there. |
