Cindy, wonderful portrait, he has the look of a dedicated scholar, determined to get his point across!
Was this taken indoors (artificial light) or outdoors in sunlight? |

Great short Ger. For me the matriarch, girl, and boy with their faces arranged in a triangular formation is the image, the rest is environmental. The boy looks skeptical, I wonder what he is thinking. Nice work! |

Lorna, again, well seen. Always, with soft focus images there is debate with some feeling "not soft enough"; while others can't accept anything less than pin-sharp.
While this is not meant as a critique, I do have a thought about alternate story: the two on the left sharing an intimate moment, while the third figure on the right is isolated even though she's on the same bench. A story of contrasttension: sharing vs isolation; plus you may claim the "rule of odds" at work in your photo! |

Great portrait; B&W conversion makes for a more timeless feel. Separating dark hair from a dark background is not easy without a hair, or background light; I couldn't improve on it.
Great work! |

Nice B&W conversion, if possible you may try darkening the background by 1/2 - 3/4 of a stop. Birders are persnickety about feather detail, very challenging with white feathers. The head and breast of the owl are so prominent, there is a lot of texture and detail to capture. Overall, a great image. |
