The Mission Church is in Ranchos de Taos, not Taos. The Ranchos is a small village just south of the town of Taos. It's easy to miss. That's the good news because there won't be a crown of tourists to get in the way. Thanks for the comments, and a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year. |

I like the lighting, particularly on her face; and an almost butterfly under the nose. You also put some sparkle in her hair that isn't in the color version. Nice. Her own right eye is a little "bloodshot" which you could easilly fix.
People do have skin textures such as hers and hers is not a deal killer. |

I guess one could call the scanning to be a part of the capture.
At the time I had a (something I don't remember) 3000 which did slides one at a time. Time consuming be a good solution.
Thanks for the comment. |

Thanks.
Fly to Albequerque, drive to Santa Fe. Take the "High Road" to Taos. The Mission Church is South of Taos in Ranchos de Taos. You can spend multiple days in Santa Fe (Museums, Galleries, Good Food); the High Road (watch the old movie "The Beanfield War" first.....multiple small craft shops and galleries: and Taos (lots of Indian sights and some nice galleries. |

The edited clouds are now spectacular and are a great background to the power line "pole." Good work on the shadows as you describe. Overall, a very nice image. It would do well in Cole Thompson's portfolio of power lines. |

You captured the starkness quite well. You also created a Vintage Look with the cloudless whilte sky ...... which fits the "old house" scene. The fence belongs there. Placing the house at the top of the small hill was a good compositional idea because it now shows the entire house against a white background. Removing the errant tree limbs at the left was a good idea. |
