Thanks very much, Diane.
FYI, The lens I used was a Canon "L" 70-200 shot at 78mm/f:4.0, which at the time of purchase, they said was their sharpest lens at f4.
Do you think it is bright enough?
Many thanks |

I replied a few days ago, but I don't see it now.
Thanks. Like many others, my first attraction was to the color version, then for the same reasons that you mention, I shifted my efforts to finding a good composition in monochrome. It's scheduled for Round Two of the PSA ICPC ompetition. I'll report on results in Feb '26.

Comments are all fine, but I prefer the color version over the mono. |

I've never seen a photograph like this and I like it very much. Horses' manes indicate the horses are moving (or the wind is blowing.) |

I don't think there is a right black or a right sky. The sky is a supporting player in the cast and it ought to "fit in" with the rest of the cast but play its own role. Too black and it would overwhelm, and less grey/black it would look more like the house. |

At first I wanted to say that I'd like to see more contrast, but you have some black blacks already. Keep it as is. |

Who needs feet when you have intense faces? Good move. |
