32 Nov 23 Comment Treat it as a "learning session" Nov 23rd
32 Nov 23 Reply I had the color version "printed" onto Acrylic and it came out very well. If you haven't tried acrylic, it is a wonderful medium for beautiful colors without having an "over-saturated" appearance.
Suggest you experiment, making a small "print" just to get the feel of it. It also does quite nicely on BW images.
New News: My picture of the old Spanish Church in Taos, New Mexico, with the Friar in front, won the PPD ICPC (InterClub) end of year Second Place Medal for Large Mono for 2022-23.

32 Nov 23 Comment Thanks for the comments.
Sorry for my tardiness in responding to this Round. We've spent the month moving into an Independent Living facility (nice), and getting the home ready to sell.
My advice: 1. Move when younger. 2. Coordinate the timing with when your adult children can assist.

32 Nov 23 Comment Your specialty: Old buildings.
I've often wondered where my first car, a '31 Ford tudor, went, and there it is.
I agree with Diana's comment about the back-leaning house.
A good angle for the shot and nice composition overall.

32 Nov 23 Comment Very nice. Ought to do well in "winter scenes" competitions.

32 Nov 23 Comment Nice story.
I prefer Stephen's composition because it includes what I think you wanted to include, but gives a better explanation of the story behind the hand. I haven't seen his crop in BW, but I think it would work.

32 Nov 23 Comment I've heard many say that there is "no bad weather for photography, just different challenges." A foggy photo (IMO) would have a better chance of attaining that iconic image instead of "just another photo"...... Work on the sky, is all I can say. Diana has a good comment related to the sky. Happy to hear that you got to Maine and had some time off. Nov 19th
32 Nov 23 Comment I think your BW conversion is well done, but Diana's comments about filling in the bright spots would be a good idea. Nov 19th
32 Nov 23 Comment Yes, use it in any competition. This practice is so widespread that there should be no question. Re the shot: I like Stephen's comments. Although it's difficult to determine, but it looks like the BW version has lost any detail in her face. Nov 19th
32 Nov 23 Reply As my ol' grannie would say: "An ounce of luck is worth a pound of skill" Nov 10th
32 Nov 23 Reply Thanks.
re the color: Maybe it's due to having used slide film?

32 Nov 23 Reply Thanks for the comment. I haven't exhibited or even shown this B&W version. Glad to hear someone likes it. Nov 8th
