32 Feb 23 Comment When it gets really bumpy, most get out and walk.
And the speed is never very fast because the NPS has scheduled each outfit into a camping area in advance. and they're spaced for leisure travel. Some bicyclers even do this.

32 Feb 23 Reply Yeah, he's looking at the clearance with the rocks. He has yet to drive the dugway and is checking it out. Feb 14th
32 Feb 23 Comment This photo is to give you an indication of what the White Rim Trail looks like. That's my Ford Explorer in the background.

32 Feb 23 Comment From experience: The dirty face on the soldier at the right is more appropriate than the desk job on the left. Looks like he just arrived from HQ to do an inspection. I think your photo is fine, but your club obviously has some veterans in it who have other memories of soldiering. ie, they're not reacting to the qualities of your photo, they're comparing their experiences to what the re-enactors are doing and how prissy clean their uniforms are..... Even looks like their collars have been starched. Maybe it would do well as a "Recruitment Poster?" Feb 11th

32 Feb 23 Comment A second and a third look: The contrast, where it is, is so very crisp without being "in your face crisp,".... and the tonalities (of greys) is so nice. Feb 10th
32 Feb 23 Comment Contrast and reflections and all else, looks just fine to me. Catchlight in the eye = +

As to Canyonlands: I've explored the backroads of Utah and some other locations in the Rocky Mtns. If anyone is plannng a trip, I'd be happy to give some suggestions.

32 Feb 23 Comment The sculptors were fine artists. I believe this (as shown here) is a lost art. Interesting to study the details and make up a story to go with them. I strongly think the shown scene is to tell a story. I wonder what it actually was.
Nice detail, sharpness and treatment.
