32 Jun 22 Reply Yes, I could, but then I'd lose the Antique Wet Plate appearance so critical to the era.
thanks.

32 Jun 22 Comment If so, I haven't found it. Jun 10th
32 Jun 22 Reply The large white vignette is part and parcel of the Nik Silver Efex' Antique Wet Plate pre-set. I assume glass negatives (wet plate) and associated equipment of the era created a sharp center (which is the primary subject) and a blurred "vignette" or outer rim of the image? Jun 10th
32 Jun 22 Comment I set a Black Point and a White Point in Levels, and then slid the Midtone slider to .83 and got a nice contrast. That's all I did. Jun 9th
32 Jun 22 Reply Facial tones were difficult: under their hats, plus: Caucasian and African skin colors. Jun 7th
32 Jun 22 Comment I like it. Particularly the (visual) pathway at center that leads into the forest grove. All the actual and implied lines seem to focus one's eye there.... And, one of the trees isn't a Redwood..... provides a nice diagonal to avoid the typical tree photo composition.

32 Jun 22 Comment I like the grunge on the right side, but overall it fits the vintage you're establishing. nice composition and all.

32 Jun 22 Reply Thanks. I both took off the sepia and increased the sharpness.

32 Jun 22 Comment I just entered this in an Exhibit called "The Colors of the Rainbow" which could be RedGreenBlueYellow, etc., or LGBT. I chose the latter and titled it: "In the 1800's Who Would Have Thought?" And in a brief video accessible via QR code: "In the 1800s who would have thought: A woman in the Army; Women in the horse cavalry, A lady Captain who is the Commanding Officer of the Horse Detachment at Fort Hood, and a Black Sergeant Major? This is Progress. This is the Rainbow." and then I gave it a Vintage Film appearance via NIK. As mentioned, this is a repeat submittal to DD32 ..... removing the Sepia and making it sharper.

32 Jun 22 Comment Could you selectively burn some of the veg (the trees) to help them to stand out a bit more? (The overall appearance seems to me to be on the "too much gray" side.)
