The reason redwood trees have aged so well is their resistance to fire.

A photo judge once said to our club in Utah: I never want to see another grove of aspen trees, but if I do, I hope you composed it so that the viewer's eye can "walk" into the grove......asking the Qs: What's in there? Who's been here before?
Very nice.
Muir Woods: I was there the first time in 1938 and many more while we lived in SF and Berkeley (aka Berzerkley). Makes one want to cry when thinking of all the Redwood groves that have been cut down in the name of progress (aka money)...Yes, I'm truly an Environmental Activist. |

A beautiful image. You hit a home run on this one. The light on the head is particularly striking.

"Strange things in the night" .... and sometimes in the day. A new one for me.
Tom's modification looks like it's a good one.

Nice. I like both the as is and the one with the curve in the reflection.
We all know the Sunny 16 rule for exposure ... The equivalent one for night shots with a moon is called the Mooney 11 Rule (using f:11) ..... all because moonlight like most other light is reflection.

I think the image would be improved if it were to have more contrast as in Diane's rendition. And, like others, I generally prefer mono vs. color. And I do so in this image.

The entire area must cover a couple acres. There are people walking around in this image but I darkened and cloned them out. It's actually life sized.
thanks.

Nothing like the electric utility company to come up with an idea like this for their community. It actually got legs and as a result the Courhouse Square is also nicely lit.
thanks

I like the idea of coloring the lights, but how does that work?
Good idea.
