A blah sky in black and white an grey is a difficult challenge. Lots of ideas if in color. I guess it's just as it is...... it needs something, but I'm at a loss.

A few quick edits:
Levels: Midtone slider to .73
Brightness to +8
Contrast to 14
Selected sky with quickselect, then used Imaginomics Noiseware: set to HighNoise (Full noise removal)
The DD32 thumbnail doesn't show the whites well in this modification.

Here is a version with more detail in the crown of the head. although the detail may not show up in this thumbnail. It does look better. |

Excellent: Both versions. Don't know which one I like better. Nice work.

This is one where I believe a lighter sky would be nice, giving it more contrast, while not just darkening the building.
Maybe you have some cloudy skies you could insert? |

I think Diana hit it on the head. Agree: needs more light areas
Excellent "capture" of the flower. Certainly has potential.

I think I can bring out more detail in the head feathers. I did that in another version of this image. |
