Hi Jamie
Thank you for your welcome. I'm right with you there about the beach being a happy place. Your comments are appreciated. |

Thank you, Stewart. Your comments are appreciated and a bit of a wake up call for me. I have now removed the two elements. |

I appreciate your welcome to the group. Now I look at it, I agree with removing those two elements. Just for interest, the structure is a shark monitoring beacon because this beach and the one next to it have had recent shark attacks (just a bit of Australiana!). |

Hi Bev
Thanks for your lovely comments. This was actually purely in-camera with a tweak on vibrance. Use of AI is my next adventure. |

I wouldn't have guessed this was taken at a zoo. Your enhancements have made the Cheetah jump off the page. |

I'm a retired toy designer, so I like fiddling with things. I read your bio and see you're a very experienced photographer, and don't need post processing like I do to get the effect I want. I used layers to select and put each firework on a separate layer to adjust it's size, then put a black layer between the original and the 3 separate layers. Then merged together. |

You captured the three bursts of fireworks well, they are bright and stand out well against the sky.
I agree about adding a border and have made the smaller explosions closer in size to the top one to make them more important in the composition. I used the Dodge and the Burn tools to make the top firework more vivid. |

The row of three smiling alligators lining the bank is terrific. I especially like the broader grin the the centre one.
Rather than going to monochrome, you could look at selectively dulling the green of the leaves. |

Lovely model with excellent lighting. The red feathers and velvet give a very glamorous effect.
I see you mention next time, so I hope you won't find my suggestion annoying: would you consider changing the glass to the model's left hand so the cigarette holder shows up better against the red? The glass might stand out more clearly against the black background. |

My initial reaction is 'Wow'. Great eye contact and lovely detail in the leopard's markings and whiskers. For me, I think I prefer the coloured version with a darkened background, somehow the eyes draw my attention even more in their original amber tone. |

I like your choice of subject matter. Using monochrome with selective colour for the flag makes it stand out, together with the blurred crowd in the background these choices create a strong impact. If I have anything to suggest, it would be not to crop to the left of the horse to give it some 'room to move'. |
