48 Aug 24 Comment Hi Janie. Welcome to the group.

Beautiful photograph. Colors are nice and rich - very natural - not overdone.

Nice and sharp - no motion blur in the clouds and very little in the water. Well done on the exposure settings.

Composition is nice too. The rock outcropping and beach give a nice curve to the waterline and the waves.

I suggest removing the structure near the rock outcropping and the ship along the horizon. The image is so clean and natural that those two items start tugging at my eye.

48 Aug 24 Reply I was disappointed with how the cigarette holder blended into the background. I had to lighten the holder to get it to be a bit more visible. A different location would definitely help it stand out. Thanks. Aug 7th
48 Aug 24 Reply The grip on the glass can definitely be improved. I also think the position of the arm could be improved as well...dropping the location of the glass a bit. Thanks. Aug 7th
48 Aug 24 Reply Yes, I can see how a frame around the image might be a benefit especially with the background dropping to black. Thanks. Aug 7th

48 Aug 24 Comment Love the three alligators in a row. Nice and strong composition.

I would crop it a bit and remove some of the space along the top. It would bring a bit more attention to the alligators.

Would also try lifting the shadows a bit to see if you could get a bit more detail in the dark areas.

48 Aug 24 Comment It is quite fun photographing fireworks. Challenging too. You have to get all of your camera settings right to get a good image.

Amazed that you hand-held this shot. I use a tripod when photographing fireworks to avoid camera shake.

I think you nailed the focus, lighting, and shutter speed. Colors look good to.

Well done.

48 Aug 24 Comment Wonderful image! Tack-sharp focus of the face. Engaging expression. Excellent close-up. Makes me feel that I am right alongside you.

Excellent work with the crop and lighting adjustments. In the original, the highlights are distracting and pull the focus away from the leopard.

48 Aug 24 Comment Love the photograph. Particularly the desaturation of most of the image and leaving the flag in full color. It really makes the flag pop out of the image. I agree with Janie about the crop; open it up on the sides to give the subject a little more room to move around. I would also ease-up on the background blur a bit; give it a little more sense of place while still emphasizing the rider and the flag. Aug 6th
