Hi Bruce,
The presence of the more modest homes at the base of your image is a key component highlighting the dichotomy of "status" in society. The foreboding sky complements the Chateau's dark roof structure. |

Hi Viren,
I love your image. I was in Prague and didn't see this building. This is a great example of the fact that there are times when portraying vertical elements as perfectly vertical and times when you ignore that tradition.
The notion of what you achieved works in large part because the horizon line is absent in the field of view. Well done! |

Hi Robert,
You don't need to apologize for employing an iPhone. You could have told me you were using a Hasselblad, and in either case, I would have thought the same . . .
Great scene, wonderfully portrayed! |

Hello Kenneth,
I think your image is quite worthy given the composition you were able to record given the conditions you were enduring. Given your desire to improve the recorded scene, I would suggest you consider adding a clear blue sky and then converting the image to Black and White. In doing so, the blue sky could be converted to a very dark grey . . . but not black. You could play with the other colour tonalities and I think the result could be really great. Your image title could reference the conditions you were enduring, like "earthquake in progress". |
