OK . . . Robert . . .
I can see why you edited your original image the way you did.
I mentioned that I would "Play" with your image, which I did.
Your image is now titled, "Unexpected Snow Runoff".
Arguably, it is now not a pure photograph . . . it is a mixed media piece employing a combination of Photography and Generative AI. |

Hi Robert,
Hopefully, I clicked on the correct box to comment on your comment.
If you would consider sending me your original RAW file, I would be happy to "play" with it in an attempt to respond to your request. Ideally, you could send it via wetransfer.com.

Hi Bruce,
I agree with Robert's suggest composition . . . either in color or B&W.
Another thought would be to have maintained a sky above the tallest mountain and to enhance the flare even more. . . perhaps trying a vertical format image with either a wider angled lens or stepping back further. I appreciate that my suggestions might have been difficult to achieve. |

Hi Kenneth,
Your image conveys a great sense of motion!
I am guessing you may have cropped the original file from both the top and bottom.
If that was the case, I would suggest an alternative approach to focusing on the trees and colours.
Consider, as an option, maintaining the original file and use linear gradient masks or a vignette to darken and perhaps desaturate the top and bottom of your scene. |

Hi Robert,
Science informs us that see depth though luminance alone, which is pure luminance. We do not see depth through color alone. (it is the luminance in color that is often difficult to perceive)
Your image conveys that sense of depth, so that is great.
Two thoughts . . .
1. I would consider eliminating the pure black left side of the image as it does not, for me, add to the image "story".
2. I admit to being curious as to what was cropped out at the top of your image.
The bright water at the top could, perhaps, benefit from a bit more "breathing room". |

Hello Haru,
I also feel that the artistic merit of your image would be enhanced by deleting the foreground on the right side, resulting in a more square composition. |

Hello Robert,
It is so great to get opinions and suggestions from other photographers.
I really appreciate your thoughts. My initial reaction is to meet you half way, by reducing the intensity of the green (although the intensity of the green was actually present due to the atmosphere resulting from the time of day and recent rainfall), and by cropping a smaller amount from the top of the image.
