I also like the wall art of the workers drinking. The image of the courting dances would not be as effective without the complexity of the background. |

I really like this, Pete.
Of course you have the stages of life. Well done.
As to the blue line, I kind of like it, and I read more into it. Both the blue line and the lit fog bring in an active presence of the light for this image, more than just making the objects visible. You could interpret the lighting presences as an extra force governing the progression of life you represented. So with this far-out interpretation, I would not crop the right side. |

Thanks, Jennifer. That is an interesting point. Even if I had shot your mantel statue, from this angle it would have a monumental appearance. I made sure to name it so the title would inform the scale. |

Good comments already. I agree about the poles and gloves.
The smiling faces make it personal. |

Yes, good use of IR, which I think for most people is without purpose. But this came out extremely well. |

I agree with Tom's acute observation about ears back and kicking up dust, which really adds to the drama. |

You said,
*I doubt this image is a recognizable enough subject to be a very effective photo travel image*
But au contraire I immediately recognized this location (I have been there and took the very same shot). So would anyone else who took the tour there. |

You chose the tree well, and made a good shot of it. I see lots of magnificent trees, but it's hard to make the picture do them justice. |

I agree with all the comments, most of all with you not being able to choose a plain bowl. |

Thank you, Tom. I walked all around the statue, looking for the angle. |

I LIKE the lack of detail. It emphasizes that this is a mannequin. I also like the lighting very much. |

Another great aspect of this image is the tour of textiles in the image. We own a rug from this region, so I really like seeing the cushions and ground covers. |

I am pleased that you told the story of the place so well. That shares a lot with us to understand your experience of the place. |

Charming shot of a grilled corn vendor. It reminds me of my wife's country, Turkey, where we see the exact same thing by the seaside there. |
