Thanks for the comments. I never carry a tripod. I am not serious about that, but you are all right that it would give me more shutter speed flexibility. |

That's a good reminder to try fast and slow shutter speeds. I have seen discussions in various groups about that, but never applied it to my work. Thanks. |

So interesting to learn about the propagation. I really like it when we learn about the subject matter as well as look at composition. |

The more I look at this, the more I feel I am looking at an image from a ***creative*** group. It is very Dali-esque. |

Ooohh. The color is quite different in mood, and very interesting on its own. |

Wes has a good point about the leading lines not going to the top. On the other hand, cutting off the pinnacle leaves a visual tension. |

I was trying for diagonal shadows, but it was just a grab shot as I walked around a tourist site. |

I have the same reaction as Ed. So I am looking and looking at it and yes, it is starting to grow on me also. Wonderful scene. I like it better in color for the separation of the trees. |

I like the white background, reminds me of the work of Richard Avedon. But I think the lioness could be a bit darker. |

Nice work with the sky. Yes, the people should stay for scale. This is so interesting a subject. Thanks for taking us there. |

I think you are overthinking this image. It is fantastic. I love the way the view emerges from the fog. I find that an interesting inversion of shots that I like in which the central feature emerges from blackness. |

I don't think I have ever seen such an interesting shot through a chain link fence. Well done. I like the almost Escher-esque way the fence infinitely compresses at the edges. |

This came out very well. Yes, I think the two bright spots should come out.
The perspective interests me. You know I like perspective. I can see this this building has triangular shapes emphasizing the upward soaring perspective. |

You might try converting this to monochrome to eliminate the blue and yellow of the fences and gates behind. There is nothing in your fine shot that is essentially a color subject. The white shirt of the rider and the dark color of the horse might look good in monochrome. I am in monochrome group 32, so I always consider monochrome. |
