Yes, that makes a nice crop! Thanks for the idea. |

Nice shot, especially getting the woman facing us up on her toes: "dance like a butterfly, sting like a bee." |

Very striking, as usual with your infrareds. Amazing that the building is still standing. I hope there were signs around warning against entering. |

I am charmed by this composition. It is just the sort of stuff I like, shooting jumbled piles of small things. You have the plus of having the small things interestingly linked. Very nice composition. |

I like the motion of the water in the mono version very much--it is pinpoint sharp. On my monitor, the body of the goose is blown out white and lacks detail. How does it look to others? |

This is an interesting point of view, however not revealing the scale of the falls very well--I cannot decide is that is a plus or a minus.
I like the choice of shutter speed, showing some of the water stopped and some blurred with motion. |

Bracing your camera on a firm surface at 1/80 should be just fine. I shoot down to 1/8 like that. Without a flash, you used the available light to great advantage, so I find this shot very successful.
However, suppose you had a flash? How would you have used it? Where would you locate it, at what distance from the subject, and how would you direct it? Can we have a discussion about this, as I think it is an interesting topic for all of us. |
