Thanks to all for the suggestions. Carol, how about if I also crop the bottom a bit to exclude the hand of another child--then I think that child's arm would not be particularly bothersome. |

Thank you, Diana, that is very encouraging. Both my wife and I were affected by the charm and freshness of these children. I think that comes through in all the shots I took of them. |

I agree with Diana. This picture is excellent whether or not the barn is there. This means that you have fantastic subject matter in the lines in the fields. |

Yes, darken the background. Try full black, like Diana's shot this month.
About the eye. Correct me if this is wrong, but I think owls can only look straight ahead, not having pivoting eyeballs. They must turn their heads to see to the side--hence they have a very wide range of neck turning. |
