Thank you for your appreciation. As far as I can remember, had I gone to my left, the face of the front lady couldn't be included. I shall surely try to remove the purple dressed person. |

Welcome Lisa. Thank you for sharing your work. The lavender field looks beautiful. The vertical format also works perfectly. However, I would go with Carole regarding the elements of your original photos. There are too many things happening and I do not know where to concentrate as a viewer. The changes introduced by Carole changed it a lot in a positive sense. I may have composed the image differently trying a more centre-of-the-frame composition for the path. The house to the right of the frame looks truncated abruptly. Can you crop the front around 20% and see how it changes? I am enclosing my version of your beautiful image with this comment. I straightened the verticals and darkened the sky a little bit. As I couldn't work on the RAW file, there is a slight halo around the sharp edges, and I couldn't nail the tint of the sky to my liking either Still, I hope, you would get the idea. |

A lovely image. The colour contrast is really nice. The story of the image is also very clear. A humble suggestion, could this image be cropped to emphasize the workers? I'm enclosing my viewpoint with this comment. I hope you wouldn't mind. |

Thank you for sharing your work. Considering the background story, your image is beautiful. It shows life symbolized by the corns in the midst of decay represented by the brown parts of the plant. A perfect example of nature's cycle. |

Thank you for your suggested crop. Yes, I feel apart from what you have done, there is not much to do. As I pointed in another comment, I shall try to retake with a different composition and see if that works better. |

Thank you for your kind input. I tried this crop too, but somehow, I couldn't agree with the square(ish) crop. It felt that the subject matter and this crop do not gel good enough. |

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I was trying to crop the image as suggested, but somehow it is not striking the balance for me. How about posting a crop that you are visualising? |
