What a fun image...love the pops of color added by the vehicles. The three vehicles help lead the viewer's eye along the road and through the image. With vehicles going in opposite directions you can follow the road from the bottom right and upward or from the upper mid area down through to the right. The lighthouse almost serves as an end point for travel along the road. |

Carol it was a rather dull day actually; however, I liked the composition and leading lines in the image. I like applying filters or presets sometimes just to see a different look. |

Hi Bunny.The filters were applied to the image I submitted for this month. The colors were muted as it was an overcast gray December day. |

Great concept, and yes potholes need love too. :) This is a nice interpretation of the subject.
I played around with the image in Lightroom to increase contrast more...decreased the exposure slightly, increased the contrast, shadows, and whites sliders, decreased the highlights and blacks sliders,increased clarity and increased dehaze slider by quite a bit. Then I cropped down from the top and up from the bottom so that the lines from the top right and bottom right entered the image from the corners. |

What a cool pier and great leading lines with the fencing helping focus the eye on to follow the road. The shadows are an added bonus as reinforcing leading lines. I might try and lighten the last part of the road that is in a deep shadow...just a tad to brighten that area while retaining contrast with the lighter areas of the road and the darker shadows of the fencing leading up to that area. Also, maybe decrease the exposure of the fencing on the right side of the road/pier. |

Love the curves as they lead your eye into and through the image. The car (and the orange toned color no less) add a nice element to the image. I might have used the remove tool in Lightroom to remove the house at the "end of the road" as it pulled my eye away from the last bend in the road. |
