Beautiful. This looks like it could have come out of a scene in The Sound of Music! The cloud formation is wonderful and the composition is lovely. The leading line of the road almost takes the viewer into the clouds... |

It looks like you are driving into the eye of the storm. I love having the car in the image. Great capture through the window! |

Thanks Bunny. I am in Central NY. We have had a number of opportunities to see and capture the Northern Lights over the past year. In fact, there have been stunning images coming out of the Adirondacks. This image was actually taken with my iPhone 14 Pro...

The image that I added as part of this comment was taken with my D850. No tripod. I balanced my camera on the hood of my car using a bean bag.

I love cloud formations, especially when combined with weather. Great texture and layering with the clouds. The lower left corner and bottom of the image are a bit dark...I might try a small crop to remove those areas. |

I like the silhouette against the sky. I would crop off some of the dark area from the bottom of the image to move the focus towards the silhouetted formations. The lower colors are beautiful. Again, I think I would crop off some of the blue sky from the top (as it outweighs the other colors) to focus more on the lower portion of the sky. Beautiful though! |

Bunny you nailed it. I agree with Ally - the white border keeps the eye focused into the image. |
