I am glad that someone chose a closeup image of hands playing an instrument! I shoot a lot of musicians and had a few such that I was considering. I decided to go outside of the box for this one. Nice cropping to emphasize the hands, still leaving some room/space in the overall image. |

I almost see this more as an image showing perspective. I think that capturing your daughter as she actually picked the flower gently and carefully would be more representative of dexterity. |

I love this Connie. I like not only that you included the craftsman's face, but the depth of field - with a softer focus on the face and the hands in sharp focus. |

I appreciate both the broader definition of dexterity and your technical data Bunny. Learning/understanding bird behavior patterns is key to successful bird photography, and you obviously were ready when this guy showed up.
The only thing I might have tried is to lighten the background just a bit with a mask in Lightroom. That might create more separation between the jay's wings and the background. Well done. |

I agree with Bunny - calligraphy did not come to mind for me either. However, this image definitely says dexterity. I actually like the tighter crop (surprise!) as it gives more of a focus on the hand doing the writing. |

Thank you Ally. I prefer this image over some of the others that I took (with more members of the group included) for this very reason. I like the tight crop which emphasizes the symmetry (and how straight these two are - also reinforced by the upright glass in the lower left corner). |

Thank you Bunny. I shoot a lot of musicians and groups, and initially I was going to use a closeup image of a musician's hands playing an instrument. Then I decided it would be fun to broaden the scope of the topic with this image. I had another image with six of the performers but decided the focus on the two was more reflective dexterity. |
