18 Jul 25 Reply Karen, I take your point. Sorry to see you go. Best of luck. Jul 23rd
18 Jul 25 Comment I love your original and you have made a fine job of making superb design out of it. It would make a great tablecloth, perhaps with match place mats. Jul 11th
18 Jul 25 Comment This is lovely. Two suggestions - I don't mind the bit at the top but I would remove the blue pieces. Also I would soften the line where the girl's neck is cut off so she appears from within the flower and doesn't look like a severed head. Great idea, worth working on. Jul 11th
18 Jul 25 Comment A lovely still life but I have to agree with the others - you need to work on it more. Jul 11th
18 Jul 25 Comment I like the symmetry. Reflections are always good for a creative tweak, and you have done that. I presume you designate the fourth tree a bush! Jul 11th

99 Jul 25 Reply Funny you should say that . . . there is another version. Jul 17th
99 Jul 25 Comment This is no failure. The line of the sail has both a diagonal and two curves, which create interest. Then there is the contrast between the dark lines on the right and the curve on the left and you have kept the tones under control. You have made a lovely abstract and minimalist photograph. My wife loves it - she feels it is very peaceful.
So - no failure,

99 Jul 25 Comment This confirms my view that everyone on the West Coast it nuts! Seriously though, this is just the sort of scene you might find in an English rural village on a fete day. I like the way you have caught the action in true 'street' fashion and love the triangle of the figures . Also the dynamic angle of the turn they are making. It does seem that no one is particularly interested in what's going on. One man on the left is out for a jog and the man, behind right, has turned his back and another is walking away. See, your photograph has drawn me in. Jul 11th
99 Jul 25 Comment The strength of this documentary photograph lies in the diagonal lines and the repeated figures. You have kept detail in the sky and, by the looks of it, it was a wet day and that helps give the flagstones some interest. To lift it into a more interesting shot it would have been nice to have a figure (adult, child, dog) looking up at the figures of pigeons sitting on the figures' heads. As it is it's an interesting record of the temple. Jul 11th
99 Jul 25 Comment A great picture in the street photography genre. As such, all the clutter of the table and background is an intrinsic part of the shot. Well done for seeing the potential of the reflection. I like the way the heart, on the right hand side, has given him Mickey Mouse ears. Jul 11th
99 Jul 25 Comment An interesting building with (I think) awful windows. But you have made a great picture out of it. You have added the figures in just the right places telling a story. Lovely contrast. Also, placing the figures on a diagonal provides a foil to the regularity of the window pattern. Sometimes reality is not real enough and you have to help it along.

One (tongue in cheek) comment - somewhere there is a 'woke' person who will take exception to the placing of the figures. "Why can't a girl look at a man?' they will say. Me - I don't mind which way round things are and I like your picture.

99 Jul 25 Comment Misson accomplished! Lovely contrast, arrested motion and textures. You have even set the glass slightly off centre, which I like. I assume you drank your subject, afterwards. Jul 11th
