I like the way you have made the spheres different in size giving an effect of depth. There is a story here, and questions. Is this a scene from outer space with a planet consuming entity closing in? Or is it a deep sea scene where the strange inhabitants of the deep are in their continual life cycle? This is a treat for the eyes and the imagination. |

I agree that the log is too bright. I like the painterly effect, but, you know what?, I like your original too. The dark branch end on the log is crying out for a peeping fairy, or a troll face, or a hand reaching out . . . |

I agree with Ian about black and white. I'm note sure it needs the texture in the sky, sometimes simple is better. I know you love brushes - but why not use real birds? It is fun to be creative like this. |

The effect certainly enhances this interesting decorative feature. I like the saturation too. |

I did comment last week but it seems to have disappeared, so here goes again. This is another example of your excellent eye for a picture. As Maude says, it triggers the imagination, as well as pleasing the eye. I like the way you show how many people these days are so engrossed with their phones they miss all the wonderful things around them - for example the view reflected in the window, but to be fair she might be photographing something else interesting. See how your picture gets the imagination going. I like the extra tension of the figure being on the edge of the frame. You know what I would say about the tone and contrast, so I don't need to do so now. |

Mark, I bow to your military experience, and agree re. the vignette. I chose the angle of the vehicle as a more dramatic one than a side view. |

Wonderful layering in this landscape. The sea, the island, two layers of mountains and more layers of cloud. Wonderful. I like the contrast of this image and yet you have not lost the detail in the darkest parts. Lovely. Perfect black and white. |

Your excellent processing has brought out all the detail beautifully. The slight suggestion of a smokey background fits with the biker dive ethos. Good work. |

A very graphic representation of a cat with an evil stare. A good story too; are the bars holding it in? (it looks scary enough to be imprisoned) or keeping it out. And what is it up to? The treatment shows how a minimalist composition can still say a lot. |

Excellent composite. You have blended the escalators and the walls very beautifully. There is also a good story since usually one descends into the underworld. Why is this character allowed out? What's in his shopping bag? This picture is a feast for the eye and the imagination. (I too like the work of Jerry Ueslmann.) |

I like the water at the bottom holding everything up, and the way the spray echoes the clouds. In contrast there are the man made structures that seem out of place in the natural world. Great picture for the eye to explore. |
