The panorama technique has been well done and you have minimised distortions. I feel that this is a very grey picture of a grey city but perhaps that is what you wanted to convey. I feel that more contrast in the buildings and the sea would bring out a sparkle and make the place look more fun. |

My first thought was that this is cluttered. Then I realised that the foreground wood did take the eye to the main subject - the barrel. The textures are sharp and clear in the wood and the stonework of the building. I guess you used the toning to echo the 19th Century, but I think it would be better in pure black and white with more contrast. |

You have certainly captured the bleakness of this coastline and brought out the textures of the rocks and the stonework. The composition is very satisfying, and I like the beach line at the bottom that holds everything in place. Perhaps if the bottom was a bit darker it would do its job even better. |

I wouldn't want to meet these two in a dark alley! The tones and textures are well rendered, and you have exposed the lighter and darker clothing well to bring out details. I think darkening the corners and edges slightly would help to hold everything in. I know it's an old darkroom technique, but it works very well in monochrome. |

You have found an interesting composition of rectangles, triangles and lines that is different from the type of shot many would take of such a place. My eye keeps being drawn to the cigarette packet, but then the triangle of sunlight sets me off around then picture again. I'm not sure the piece of jetty in the bottom left corner is necessary. But then it's another triangle and gives the water a good shape. This photo certainly makes me think. |
