Brrr, that looks cold! I, too, like your composition with the curving tracks through the snow. I'm not as certain about the sepia toning, though. While I understand the effect you were going for with it, I think I might prefer straight black and white rather than sepia in this image. |

I agree with the others that I like the mono image. The inset is an interesting idea. For me, though, your "snow" effect is not coming through, so I'm wondering if that image might be more effective just in high key or something similar that wouldn't add so much noise.

I like your tighter crop from the original, and agree with others that converting to monochrome helps keep the colors from distracting from the work. I'm uncertain what cellular phone you have, but my Samsung one is bad about halos and light streaks if I don't clean off the camera lenses almost every time I get ready to take a picture with it. It annoys me, but I've not found a good solution apart from wiping it off frequently. |

While I don't have experience with leopards, that one looks particularly large. The difference in personal tastes is always interesting, as unlike others here, I prefer the color image since it seems the tones in the landscape are repeated in the fur and eye of the leopard, and the background, although stark, competes less for my attention in the color image. I agree with Diana that I'd likely crop the top to below the darker areas to draw more attention to the subject, too. |

We seem to have an architecture theme going this month. I, too, like the use of the wide angle lens here. This is an unusual building, with an interesting juxtaposition between the heavy rock walls and the staircase that appears so minimal and almost flimsy. Was it possible to step just a bit more to your right, or no? I think that would have eliminated the small window partially showing under the arch and helped separate the staircase from the window. But those are minor details. I like the toned down window light as you've edited it. |

What an imposing building. Your perspective is interesting. Without the title, though, I would not have known what this building was, although perhaps that doesn't really matter. I agree with Tom that I, too, like less sky. |
