32 Jul 25 Comment This is interesting, and initially made me think of inverted benches like are found on some amusement park rides. I wonder if they really help with cooling? Maybe I should try some on my house! I agree going up some more at the top would be nice, but it works as you have it. Jul 28th
32 Jul 25 Comment I agree that the monochrome image is the better one here. I initially wasn't certain I liked the bright background, but I do think it is helpful to eliminate distractions and draw my attention to your beautiful lioness subject. Jul 28th
32 Jul 25 Comment It is quite a challenge to convert a fall foliage photo to monochrome. Your nice composition with the fence and background mountains helps here. The sky has a little too much contrast for me, particularly in the color version, a common issue with elevation and the sun's polarization. Would one of the neutral density filters in Nik possibly help that, or does it just add too much noise?

32 Jul 25 Comment I agree with the others that the fish eye and photographing through the fence add a lot of interest to this image. I also am envious of your beautiful sunburst, as I have difficulty getting good ones unless something like a cloud or tree partially blocks the sun. Even then, I end up deleting far more of my sunburst images than I keep. Mine also are very prone to solar flares in the image. I'm wondering if the fish eye helps with that issue?

32 Jul 25 Comment It's always intriguing how individual tastes differ. I will cast my vote for the monochrome version. I also agree with Tom about cropping out the triangle shaped part of the fountain. Do you ever try longer exposures with images like this? I realize that can be hard to do hand held, and the silky water effect is another issue where subjective tastes vary. I am uncertain whether it would have worked here or not, but if I have time, I usually try water with both faster and slower shutter speeds to see which I prefer later.

32 Jul 25 Comment I agree that the conversion to monochrome is very effective in this image. I can only imagine how massive this ship was to have such a large part of the frame still intact after over a century of being battered by salt water and weather. Yes, I agree about keeping the people for scale. I also like the water running down the beach behind them. Jul 28th
32 Jul 25 Reply Thanks. I felt like the color image had a lot of distractions, but here it is. Jul 18th
