Although I'm generally not a fan of mice, this one is very cute, and the sharpness on its fur ironically makes it look very soft to touch. I agree with Somdutt that I'd probably crop tighter, particularly from the left and bottom of the image. Out of curiosity, were you using a macro lens or zoom lens? I have an old macro lens that broke, and I'm debating what to do about replacing it. |

I like your tight composition emphasizing your mom's hands on the cup, and agree that removing the bright spots better draws my attention to the hands themselves. Of course, your mom might not be impressed by that, but to me, the image speaks to a lifetime of experiences and memories. |

This is an interesting image, and you've done a nice job with the cropping and monochrome conversion. I, too, like the woman looking at the books and also the motor bike parked on the sidewalk, and the price signs help give a sense of being in Asia. Tom's adjustments are helpful to simplify the image, but also change it from street/photojournalism to pictorial photography, so it may be preferable to leave it as you've presented it for that reason. |

You've certainly had a lot of interesting travel experiences. I like your composition here with the lines of the faucets and arched windows leading to the young people in the background. It's interesting you mention this mosque as being ostentatious. This image seems more utilitarian to me. |

This is an interesting old cabin, although it makes me grateful for my warm house at this time of the year. The monochrome conversion does help emphasize the texture and historic feel of the image. Like Diana, I think I would have preferred a little more space in the image, but I probably would have put it on the right rather than the left since the fence leads that direction. Of course, there may have been something there that was better left out. |

For me, it can be hard to compare images that show differing perspectives. However, I do think I like this image better since it gives more a sense of the action taking place, whereas the train obviously was the dominate subject in your other image. As others already mentioned, the man on the right provides a good offset for the train. I think his being there was a good thing for that reason. |
