Beautiful eagle portrait. As already suggested, I recommend eliminating the hot spots created by the plants in the background. I might consider cropping just a small amount off the left side (or cloning over with the darker feathers, if you aren't using this in a nature competition) to eliminate the hot spot right on the edge of the frame. |

This image works well in monochrome. Although you could darken the areas you mention some more, they do not bother me being bright. Of course, some of the competition projectors, including the one our Council uses, project hot anyway, so it probably is best to darken for that purpose. I also would suggest either intentionally cropping more on the bottom or leaving the edge of the desk in the image, as I find having it cropped right at the corner to be somewhat awkward. I do like the border/edging, though. |

I hope your recent trip was a good one. I like Carol's cropping suggestion, as the original image seemed very busy to me. Centering the eyes helped, also, although I must admit that I usually look where there is chocolate, too! |

This looks like an interesting wreck. The treatment helps make the image more nostalgic, but it is too dark on my monitor. The left side is tight in the frame, but you could add some more space for PID competitions. I also agree with Carol that brightening the ship's hull some is helpful. |
