Adrian - thank you for your comments of course. This is Liberty Bell in Washington Pass of WA., on the eastern side of the Cascades. The meadow dries out in the summer and every winter covers it in snow, which then melts out into ponds and pools before drying out. Any time of year that you can make it there, it's got something different to offer. Hope you make it out! |

Hi Isaac, nice composition- I feel like it's weighted well. The color looks really good even though the shadows say the sun is well overhead. I'm nitpicking here, but I wonder if there might be some fun detaillost in the shadows in the mud on the mouth of that elephant that's center frame.
Nice capture! |

Hi Barbara,
Solid shot of this yearling. Clear eyes, the crop is working, your edit is nicely done. |

Nice tight image of a tiny guy. I enjoy the detail in the plant and both it and the bug are easily distinguished from the background. I feel like the subject might not be getting enough of the canvas in this one and I agree with Isaac's instinct to crop vertically. |

Hi Bruce - nice one! Eye contact and the eyes are sharp and in focus, with a soft foreground and background. I love how healthy he is, and his whiskers. I think I'd clone out the tiny sharp green bit left of his paw, once I noticed it my eye was repeatedly drawn back to it. |

Hi Adrian! I looked back at some of the past rounds and really love your wildlife work. I especially value photographs that capture the intelligence present in other species like this one does. The colors are beautiful as presented, and the curves of the adult langur and the foreground leaves complement each other well. I think I agree with Isaacs's adjustment edit which tones down the highlights a bit, especially on the leaves. Really wonderful shot, thank you for sharing with us! |
