Jim, I can see that your group really is making amazing comments/critiques... Which I know will just make all your shots even better. I liked your sky, but see what they meant (we have those skies here and those colors tho). Definitely needed more room in the bow and I liked the edit Tom did. It's so fun to see what others see. I liked the yellow grasses in the back to link the sky colors as well. Thanks for letting me see your group. |

Rick, I think this is a super interesting image and like that it was just something you saw and shot. Your editing is great and the reflection just makes you look and wonder what it is, making it even more interesting. I think the distortion is the story, and I do like the background building perspective distortion and doubt straightening it would have made the shot better. |

Pauline, Great shot of the stars. I love the photostacking and also never tried it, but want to. What gave you the idea to try it with stars? Love your edit and vignette. I know people often want to see a foreground, but this is a wonderful sky filled with amazing stars, that I hope shone down on you and the family for the wedding. |

Lori, Lovely arches creating shadows to take our eyes down the corridor. I've been told to have something at the end of a diminishing line like this, so a model or thing could add interest. Maybe more of an angle or higher/lower could accentuate the lines even more. It's great to try new things and challenge yourself, too. Looking forward to seeing what you take when you go back there. |

Linnea, Shooting rodeo is tough, especially if indoors. You captured a great moment with the rider in the air and his hat flying off. All in focus and a great action moment. Higher ISO shouldn't be an big issue with the newer denoise options and programs, getting the shot in focus is more important. Lightroom can help with masking to brighten the rider and horse and darken the background. I know the people, poles, signs and all seem distracting, but they are part of the scene and slightly darkening or even desaturating it a bit might give you what you want. But it's a super shot. |

Alec, I like the crop, though agree it leans a bit to the right. The reflection of light in the water is great and the smoke color having those wonderful colors adds to the image. Perhaps on a tripod the city lights would be sharp? The fireworks burst is good and the people in the foreground make the shot even more interesting. I agree our phones take amazing shots and if we play with them enough, we can almost leave our cameras at home. |

Rick, Thanks -and I did spray and pray with all the action going on. Just hard to shoot and watch at the same time (former player, so love the game). Gyms are tough to get lighting and I don't have mirrorless or tracking, so felt really good getting the shot, though many went in the trash. |

Lori, thanks so much. I actually got to post it on the university website for the team, but never heard if they got them. It's just fun to try something new. |
