4 Jun 24 Comment Gary, you really thought out the entire process, then planned and executed a wonderful image. I enjoyed the other images, but agree with the one you chose. It's balanced, lines carry the viewer through the images and colors work. I think the darkening at the top is a great suggestion. Jun 19th

21 Jun 24 Comment Tom, I'm super jealous that he's in your backyard! What a beautiful image with his feathers and expression. I like the rock and the dark background as well, assuming that's from the better beamer. Jun 19th

55 Jun 24 Reply Thanks Pauline. I am really excited about the group and working to improve images. Lots of work, but lots of fun too. Jun 19th
55 Jun 24 Reply Thanks for the sky suggestion, I will check out the noise and see if I can do something about it. Patagonia was amazing. Everywhere you went, it was more beautiful. Hope you get there (we did OAT trip Chile/Argentina, including Easter Island, which was my bucket list place). Jun 19th
55 Jun 24 Reply Thanks for your wonderful suggestions. Yes, sky needed more work and I will try to remember how you reduced exposure and increased contrast to make it work better. Sometimes, I edit and don't want to over-edit, so stop. Think I should have gone that extra step. Thanks for taking time to check in on my first submission. Jun 19th
55 Jun 24 Reply Thanks Tom. It's hard to get a bad image of a place like that. I did work hard on the composition to get it right. I appreciate you taking the time to check out my image, suggestions always welcome. Jun 19th

55 Jun 24 Reply Thanks. I'm glad I finally took the step to join and am looking forward to all the interesting ideas and suggestions everyone will make. Jun 19th
55 Jun 24 Comment Intriguing image. I'm not sure exactly why I want to stare at it longer, but I keep looking. Figuring out what it was (before reading your explanation) was puzzling. From the sneakers, I figured it was people walking, but had no idea how you did it. (Good explanation, thanks.) It was quite a challenge, but I liked where you shot it from so your lines worked well to take me through the image. I wasn't sure why you kept the upper area lit as much, but it did show where it was. Jun 19th
55 Jun 24 Comment What a great sky to set off the clock tower image. Black and white works well with this image. I'd like to see more contrast in the tower to see more texture in the building. I also like the darkened sky to help show off the tower and I've been told to vignette as it brings the viewers eye into the picture (sometimes it really makes a difference). Jun 19th
55 Jun 24 Comment What a wonderful image! So sharp, yet ethereal. Colors are great and black background allows the dandelion to stand out. Title is fun, too. Who thought a weed would make such a wonderful image? Macro success! Jun 19th
55 Jun 24 Comment Black and white is definitely the way to go with all the textures and to give that old-time feel. The textures of the wood are great. AI and you did an amazing job eliminating the cars. I might not have ever tried it, and now I will. Thanks for Touch ReTouch suggestion too. I think the building to the left distracts me slightly, since it isn't as decrepit looking, I might have tried to crop it out a bit more? I enjoyed the story of the towns as well as the editing process. Jun 19th
55 Jun 24 Comment Really enjoyed the image. Colors make him stand out from the background so you really focus on the yellow gloves and red clothes and shoes. You timed the shot to get a great expression on his face too. Tie effect was a fun question. I liked that you darkened the background so the mime totally stands out as the subject. Too bad he has the tip bucket, or it might have fooled us that he was riding and jumping. Like the shadow/frame, wishing to explore Topaz more now. Jun 19th

71 Jun 24 Comment Tom, I love the colors - red roofs, white and grey bridge and then both water and sky beautiful blues. I haven't been over that bridge, but may have to sneak there to try to get this fun shot. Jun 19th
