31 Apr 25 Comment Hello Ella,
You really turned a tough lighting situation into something beautiful, the oil paint effect was a brilliant fix! Like Ian said, I at first thought it was the inside of a watch. I love how the curves and gears pull your eyes around the image.

31 Apr 25 Comment Hello Susan,

A beautiful and peaceful winter scene! It has a soft, dreamy feeling and I like the way the tree branches frame the path. I might have cropped a little off the bottom of the frame but overall, it's a beautiful capture.

31 Apr 25 Comment Hello Ed,

This is a powerful portrait, his intense expression grabs you right away. I like the soft background which keeps the focus fully on him. As mentioned above, a little more contrast might be beneficial.

31 Apr 25 Reply Hi Ian, it was fun stalking this tree to catch the light. My wife thinks I'm nuts with how much time I spend trying to catch the shot I have in mind. Apr 27th
31 Apr 25 Reply Hi Ella, thanks for the comment. There are so many great subjects out in that area. Apr 27th
31 Apr 25 Reply Thank you Peter. Your eyes are just fine, I used an Orton effect to give it an ethereal glow. Whether it works or not, I wasn't sure but that is what I visualized when I captured the image. Apr 27th
31 Apr 25 Comment Ian,

A super clean and striking photo that shows off the building's cool curves and sharp lines against a dramatic black sky. Just love the curves, they draw your eye through the photo.

White Pockets is a lot of fun and how can you not love a single tree jutting out of the brain rock! Great texture and I like the way that the large rock outcropping on the left brings balance to the photo. Just my opinion, but while the sky is beautiful, I feel that it somewhat overpowers the foreground. I might have tried to reduce the contrast in the sky a little.

A powerful, beautifully made photograph.

This certainly is negative space! Very clever and well executed, sometimes art often hides in plain sight, I can almost see a face in the wall! I like it.
