Thanks for the welcome Susan. Others had mentioned that bright spot and I never really noticed it. It's actually another column that the sun is hitting. I've darkened it down and it's not as prominent as it was. |

Hello Ella
Wonderful photo and what a catch to have him holding that seed. Seeing that old cactus skeleton brought back memories of hiking through the deserts in Nevada and Arizona.
I'm not a bird photographer but I thought the photo could use a touch more contrast on the shoulder to bring out the texture of the feathers. Also, a little brightening of the seed and his eye just to bring them out more. There's a small blur along the dark line of the leaves directly in front of his beak that keeps catching my eye too. I hope you don't mind but I thought I'd give it a shot processing it with my ideas. |

Hello Susan
Wonderful photo, I like the contrast between the statue and the sky, really makes it pop. The only thing I might have tried is to darken the bright spots on his/her forehead and shoulder. To my eye they appear almost blown out and have lost some detail. |

Hello Ed
Gorgeous photo! I like how the river pulls you diagonally through from bottom to top, makes me want to see the next waterfall. Lighting on the cliff face as well as the trees is wonderful. The photo makes me feel like I'm there, I can almost hear the sound of those falls. |

Hello Ian
Very nice! I'm a sucker for stormy skies and this is definitely a dramatic shot. I agree with Peter about Detail Extractor, such a great tool for photos like this. |

Hello Peter
Wow! What beautiful light on the castle against such a dramatic sky. Such great detail in the photo, you can almost count every stone in the wall. The reflection just adds to the interest. Must have been a great place to live at one time, makes me want to get inside and look out those windows.
If I had the opportunity to shoot this, I think I would have shot a little longer exposure to smooth out the water and increase the reflection. Also, I'm not sure what's happening in the clouds but about 1 o'clock from the top of the building there are three angled lines that you might try to clone out as I think they're distracting.

Hello John
The story really adds to what already is a great shot. I like how you kept the separation between the island and the mainland and the texture on the rocks is nice with the lines drawing you to the subject.
I hope you don't mind but I tried my hand at processing this image. I thought it needed a little more texture and contrast in the rocks as well as in the sky. I also removed that small portion of rocks that extended off the rights side of the photo. |

Thank you for the comments. I'm not used to adding borders to my photos but that's a great idea and I'll give it a shot next time. Thanks for the welcome! |

Thank you for the welcome! I agree with you about the sunlight hitting that far column on the right. I went back and darkened it a bit and it looked better. Thanks for the tip. |
