Bollin, thank you for all the background information. I actually watched the video and checked out the website to understand what you are trying to accomplish. it is definitely an interesting style of artistic expression. I think you did a good job accomplishing what you set out to accomplish. This photo actually looks like an oil painting (or gives the feel and impression of an oil painting). |

Hi Bollin, any tripod will do actually; a heavier and more sturdy tripod will be better to make sure it does not tip over. I went with a group of experienced friends, I just followed their direction (to expose for 25-28 minutes). They showed me how to find the North Star and focus. Thank you for your kind comment! Beautiful image Jeremy. Love the angles and position of the pair, how the light hits the branch in the mouth/beak of the bird and the clearness of the feather under the sun (also suggestion of movement of the feather by wind). A very lively and beautiful picture. Thank you for sharing! |

I like the one with the black pole; it balance out the large silos on the left side of the picture and adds one more line to the picture titled "Lines". |

Very unique perspective and technique Richard. it is very eye catching - it peeks the audience's curiosity to take a closer look at the photo. Donald's rendition brings out the snow in the background. Both versions are unique. |
