10 Oct 24 Comment Hi Diana, your picture captured my attention. I like the dreamy and slightly over-exposed appeal of your picture. I have attempted something similar to your picture in the past and liked the effect very much. Keep shooting and develop your unique style! Oct 11th

11 Oct 24 Comment Hi Darlene, I love how you captured the fog and misty look of nature. It is a very nice interpretation in B&W. Thank you for sharing this beautiful image!

One comment (I could be wrong), the picture is a bit "dark" for me.... perhaps bring up the "highlight" and/or "white" a bit to give more contrast? Just a thought... I could be wrong.

14 Oct 24 Comment Hi Erin,
Very nice B&W conversion, love the shape and the texture of the flower. One suggestion is to add more contrast to make it "pop" more (the original seems to have more contrast). Thank you for sharing!

25 Oct 24 Reply Hi Eric, thank you for your suggestion and the cropped image. You are right... I did not see that until you point it out to me. Appreciate the feedback.

25 Oct 24 Reply Hi Lou. Thank you for your kind words. I used one of the sky from On1 Photo Raw. I did to have photoshop at the time I edited this picture. Thank you for the suggestions, I may start using my own sky in the future. Oct 11th
25 Oct 24 Reply Thank you for your suggestion Gordy, I see what you meant about the red. I will try to play with that later. Oct 8th
25 Oct 24 Reply Hi Bollin, I was using On1 Photo Raw at the time I processed this picture. There is a sky substitution function, I just played with it and find the sky I like the best and swapped it (with the click of the finger). It is probably easier than doing it in Photoshop. On1 Photo Raw sky substitution is pretty powerful that is also edit the foreground at the same time to reflect the sky and there is a reflection function for water too. Hope this helps. On1 Photo Raw offers perpetual copy (you buy and no subscription); that was the reason I purchased the program.... before I decided to go back to Adobe.... Oct 8th
25 Oct 24 Comment Great shot Brian! Great composition; you also captured the perfect expression. I love the smoothness of the skin on the face. Yes, B&W is definitely very powerful and compelling in telling a story. (I like B&W but am not very good at mastering the art yet). Oct 8th
25 Oct 24 Comment Ruth, this picture is perfect for Halloween!
Great job cleaning up the power line!

25 Oct 24 Comment Very good cropping and rotation. Yes, as Corday suggested, a light vignette will help the moth pop more.
Thank you for sharing!

25 Oct 24 Comment I like this image - my first impression. The fall foilage, the leading line (the dirt path). The person walking provided reference to the scale of the shot (how great nature is and how small we are). I do see Gordy's comment of the photo. The little patch of green grass in the lower middle area provided good foreground. I agree with Gordy's comment that the little green plant in the lower right is distracting (it draws the eyes there). A light vignette maybe?

Have you thought of trying to make it B&W? It may look good too because the nature contrast of the picture.... (I am partial to B&W at times).

25 Oct 24 Comment I agree with Audrey's suggestion. The original picture follows the 1/3 rule but there is too much empty space in the top 2/3. I like the landscape shot you put up for reference - peaceful beach with a subtle sense of casualness. I may do a crop to show the small sand formations... black and white or sepia... Oct 8th
25 Oct 24 Comment Welcome to the group Gordy!
I agree with Brian and Bollin that the B & W tells a much better story about the picture. Personally, I may add a bit more contrast and reduce the highlight or white (the lefthand side of the hand rails is bit over-exposed). However, overall, I like this picture, the leading line of the bridge and the complimentary line of the cable above provides an interesting perspective to lead and to frame the picture. Great photo!

Another thought, if there was cloud in the sky, you may create a HDR look to this picture, the color of the wood on the bridge and the contrasting grayish-blue water may look interesting with HRD. Just a thought!

28 Oct 24 Comment Hi Joe, love the image. Very "outside of the box" and "outta this world". Thank you for sharing this image. It is a perfect image that I really can't think of anything to suggest. Love the stars in the background, the lights globes resemble planets and the floor reminds us of the orbit. Such a beautiful image! Love it! Black and White is perfect for it. Oct 12th

36 Oct 24 Comment Hi Barbara,
I like this picture, there is something special/unique to it that I really can't put my finger on. I like it for the color (the building and the mill) but at the same time it is a bit "flat" for me. Perhaps add more contrast to it to make the building and mill "pop" more? Just a thought... I could be wrong though...

69 Oct 24 Comment Jaswant,
This is a beautiful picture. I love the composition, and the relaxed/leisure and 'human-like' expression of the gorilla. It appears the gorilla was in deep thought... the twig in its mouth... reminded me of people biting their pen when in deep thought.... a very artistic photo!

Thank you for sharing this image.
