Thank you Lance & Michael for the great comments. I had cropped in originally to emphasise the bridge, and going back out brings the signal tower completely in the image. I see the tower, bridge and telephone pole provide 3 strong vertical elements that cropping took away, and adds some sky. |

Hi Everyone, This is my first image posted to the group. This infrared image is of the bridge over the Meadow Valley Wash south of Caliente, NV in the high Mojave desert. I really enjoy the high contrast produced by infrared, prefect for shooting after golden hour ends and the scene turns to harsh shadows. Camera: Olympus EM-1 II converted to full spectrum with an 850nm filter and 12-100 Olympus f/4 lens. Details: 1/60 sec, 12mm (24mm FF equivalent), f4.5, ISO 1600. I processed it in Lightroom with basic tools, at 850nm images are pretty much B&W already. |
