62 Jan 26 Comment Pete, Really nice image. I like the focus on the hands working with the oyster. Works well with the story you are conveying with the image. As others have said, toning down the ring would be my suggestion. Jan 20th
62 Jan 26 Comment Emil,

I like how you captured and processed the image. I think the only item I would add is a gradient at the bottom of the image to darken the lower part. This would guide the viewer's attention up the street.

62 Jan 26 Comment Mike, Thanks for giving the background on the image. I like the story the image captures between the husband and wife. Your image captures a lot of contrasting points of view. The contrast between how the husband and wife are dressed (formal vs casual, white vs black) how he is walking ahead of her, the older couple on a beach where you would find a lot of young people and how the woman is dressed compared to weather. Nicely done. Jan 16th
62 Jan 26 Reply Mike, after reading your description and looking at your image I had the same thought as the "Happy Hour" title. Mine would have been "Where's the Beer?" and you could image the wife yelling at him about his decision. :-)

62 Jan 26 Comment Syed,

I like how you capture the Praying Buddha. The rough surface of the statue has a lot of texture. I also like the elements in the background to give you a since of where this statue is placed. Knowing that you are using CS6, I have a few suggestions to improve the image. I would remove the bird above the Buddha using a clone brush. Being so close to the Buddha it distracts the viewer. Since you were using your phone, I know you didn't have a lot of control on the depth of field in the image. Because the statue has distance from the background, you could use a masked layer and a gaussian blur filter to blur out the background. Blurring the background would focus the viewer on the statue and not the background.

62 Jan 26 Comment Adrian, I like how you capture this image. I like how you were able to capture the fisherman as a black silhouette against a light background, the two birds taking flight and the clouds /. mountains in the background. Looking at the image, I would definitely look at cropping the image and potentially removing one of the vertical objects in the scene. To me, the clutter the scene and distract from what you are trying to focus the viewer. I updated your image with my thoughts. Jan 16th
