Peter, Very nice image. I saw the changing of the guard years ago and it really impressed me with the discipline and focus these soldiers demonstrated. Felt like honor to watch them. |

Michael, I really like the creativity in taking a pile of gravel and making it into mountains. One area that might help the mounds of gravel is to add shadows to the mounds to give impression of both light direction and depth. I made an attempt at it with my image to give you an idea of what I was thinking by using Photoshop's Camera Raw masking and painting in shadows. |

Emil, I like how you captured this image and the processing you did to the sky. To me what was interesting in the image is how the clouds form an arch that mimics the stone walls in the foreground. I could see myself setting up the camera as you did. As Pete mentioned in his comments, my eye does not follow up the stair to the tree in the center and the clouds which were I think you were guiding to viewer. Similar to Pete, I tried to create more contrasting areas in the image by darkening the vegetation and lightening the architecture in image. I further lightened the stairs to guide the viewer toward the tree in the center. I also had a vignette to further focus the viewer's attention. |

Thanks Emil. I agree with you with the designs of the cars in the 20s. The designed made a statement rather than another jelly bean shaped car we see today. |
